KING JAMES VERSION

Version Information In 1604, King James I of England authorized that a new translation of the Bible into English be started. It was finished in 1611, just 85 years after the first translation of the New Testament into English appeared (Tyndale, 1526). The Authorized Version, or King James Version, quickly became the standard for English-speaking Protestants. Its flowing language and prose rhythm has had a profound influence on the literature of the past 400 years. The King James Version present on the Bible Gateway matches the 1987 printing. The KJV is public domain in the United States.

Salvation Prayer

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died for my sins, according to the Scriptures. I believe that Jesus was raised from the dead, for my justification. I ask you Jesus, to be my Lord, my Savior, and my Healer. Now Jesus is Lord of my life, and I am born again. I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus. I am a new creation in Christ, and I have eternal life. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10,9) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10,10)
